PMI Phoenix Community Service Event - Junior Achievement

Volunteers needed. Passion wanted. Children empowered.

PMI Phoenix is looking for volunteers to engage with our community to assist with The Junior Achievement Finance Park program. Geared towards Middle and High School aged students, it helps them build a foundation upon which they can make intelligent financial decisions about income, expenses, savings, and credit. You do not need to have previous ‘financial literacy’ experience to volunteer in this project: We will train volunteers to assist in a day of financial simulation. The training and simulation (together) last about 6 hours and take place during the regular school day. Your volunteer day is certain to be high-energy, a little chaotic, and fun! Students love coming to Junior Achievement and will be appreciative of the volunteers who took a day away from the “real world” to assist them.

PMI's 50th Anniversary is a time to reflect on the achievements of project managers and recognize the progress that the profession as a whole has made. The UN has identified 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that serve as a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. PMI has committed to contributing 50,000 hours towards attaining these goals by 31 December 2019. We are calling upon PMI staff, members, chapters, credential holders, volunteers and any individuals or organizations who want to get involved to pledge their commitment.

Think about what causes motivate you…where your passion lies…or how your expertise could help most. You can sign up on behalf of yourself, your PMI chapter, your employer or other organization, and spread the word to others who may want to participate.
