Speaker 1: Vartenie Aramali

Dr. Vartenie Aramali, an assistant professor at California State University, Northridge, stands out for her unique combination of industry experience and scholarly achievement. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in civil, environmental, and sustainability engineering, alongside a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and a master’s in engineering management degrees. Recognized as a PMP® certified professional by the Project Management Institute, Dr. Aramali has leveraged her experience in EPC turnkey contracting to make substantial contributions to project management practices. Her passion for research, practical research, and published works are a testament to her understanding of the field. Dr. Aramali is dedicated to infusing her extensive industry experience into her scholarly project and construction management endeavors.

Speaker 2: Mahdi M. Najafabadi

Dr. Mahdi M. Najafabadi is a software engineer with an MBA in Business Management and an MPA in Information Strategy and Management. He received his PhD from the University at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY), where he has designed and taught an IT Project Management course for over five years.

Dr. Najafabadi studies how Information Technology (IT) and analytical tools (such as generative AI products and services) enhance decision processes at different levels, from individuals to corporations, communities, and cities. His research interests include the impact of IT and IT decisions on sociotechnical ecosystems, social network analysis, and simulation modeling for education and decision support.

Speaker 3: Namho Cho

Dr. Namho Cho graduated from Arizona State University with a doctoral degree focusing on front-end project planning and currently works as a design project manager at the University of Iowa. He is interested in the practical application of generative AI tools in project management.
