Topic:  Managing Test Automation from a Project Manager's Perspective

Presenters: Kadji Tanyi / Carter Cross / Todd Sturner (Team from Grant Thornton LLP)

Brief Synopsis of the presentation

As automated testing becomes more critical to project success, what practices should project managers consider when adopting automated testing into their projects?  In this discussion we’ll explore topics regarding project metrics, managing testing scope and expectations, insuring business buy in, mitigating security risks, and coordinating data needs. Our main goal of this presentation is to ensure that participants come out well informed and armed to manage Automated testing throughout their project lifecycle regardless of the SDLC methodology. To underscore the vitality of this topic, it is worthy to note that Grant Thornton did a similar presentation for the PMI Sacramento chapter and was called again by the chapter to do the same presentation for a larger audience.
